Everything in Between (work in progress)

Everything in Between is a research project with Chris Perry and art by Sophie Standing, Once we have completed our primary research we look to present this in a graphic novel format with a view to making the narratives as widely accessible as possible.

Currently available books on pregnancy tend to be aimed at, and focus on, mothers; specifically, white, middle class women. 

The experiences of other sorts of people involved in a pregnancy and early parenthood - fathers, same-sex couples, surrogates, single mothers, those with disabilities, couples using IVF, non middle-class, Black, Asian or mixed heritage and younger or older mothers - are often not obviously included or communicated.

We would like to gather a rich and diverse range of pregnancy stories and experiences, from conception to birth and with them, create a graphic novel to share our findings.
